We deliver 5 services

1 – Re-Animation, this is for batteries that does not seem to have any life into them or are slow responsive when wrong threatened.

2 - Unsticking, this is for batteries that lost performance due to being fully charged for longer time.

3 – Re-Vitalisation, this is to get the best performance out of worn batteries cost is also $125 and a Re-Animated and unsticked battery need this also if viable recovered. Combination of 1+3 or 2+3 is $150

4 – Replace of faulty Battery management System (BMS) or upgrade functionality. Between $75 and $100 depending of the battery case.

5 – Repackaging, the replacement of the cells in the battery pack, this can be done when the battery pack is really worn out, something as is described in the SMS send to me. Cost will be $1.25 per 1KWh. E.g. a 36V battery with a 15Ah capacity is 36 * 15=540 WH cost will be $675. Supporting electronics as BMS also need to be replaced this will be between $50 and $75 depending of the battery case. Due to the high current cells we use when repacked battery packs, the repacked battery packs deliver 10 to 15% more climbing power than the original pack, when it was new.

.

As a 6th service we also build battery packs for special projects, like high powered self-build E-bikes motors. I just finished battery packs for bikes with 3.5- and 5-kW motors. And now designing a backpack battery. We also deliver a 7th service which is recycling of Li-Ion batteries. And currently I am proposing to be the first who can replace charging connectors for Shimano E-bike batteries. If needed we assist with or facilitate the shipping of the battery to our location. If we cannot fix you Li-Ion battery, no-one will fix your battery. We also sell E-bikes. I added a flyer of that in this package.

The Golden Rules

Read the documentation

The lifetime of a battery is mainly influenced by the nature and duration of use. Every lithium-ion battery age naturally, even if the battery is not used.

Things that can influence the life of the battery

Long-term storage at high temperature (more than 25 degrees) Fully discharged battery Storage for a longer period of time in a fully charged or discharged state

Things that have a positive influence on the life of the battery

(Long-term) Storage in a cool and dry place (between 10 and 20 degrees) Storage for a longer period of time in a charging state between 20 and 80 percent

Cleaning

Always remove the battery from the bicycle before cleaning it. Prevent the electrical components from getting wet and do not put a direct jet of water on them. Clean the plug terminals occasionally and lightly grease them. A damp cloth can in principle not hurt.

Winter storage

Keep the bicycle battery preferably between 0 and 20 degrees, or at room temperature. If you store the battery at temperatures lower than -10 degrees or higher than 30 degrees, the lifespan will greatly shorten. Another tip: always charge the battery at room temperature and not if the temperature is below freezing. Remove the battery from the bicycle when transporting the bicycle.

Storage (general)

Temperatures below -10 degrees and above 60 degrees should be avoided.

Winter time

In the winter (especially under 0 degrees), store the battery stored at room temperature on the electric bicycle shortly before departure. When cycling regularly in the cold, it is recommended to use thermal protection covers.

Transport

When transporting the bicycle, always remove the battery from the bicycle and transport it in a safe manner.

Recycle the bicycle battery

If the bicycle battery is at the end of its life, return it to Environmentalist Ltd who have developed a careful intake and recycling system for this.

Circular Economy is all about the 3 R’s

Re-use

Re-cycle

Re-pair

For Li-Ion batteries there is now a fourth: Re-Vitalise.
