01 / Battery care

A worn battery doesn’t always
mean the end of the road.

Lithium-ion battery assessment and repair for e-bikes and power tools. Menno investigates what can be put back to useful work.

Find out what’s possible

Understand the problem.
Then consider the repair.

Losing range, cutting out or no longer charging? Menno likes to see the battery in person, take measurements and talk with you about what’s happening.

It might be a simple wiring issue or something deeper inside the pack. By examining and measuring the battery, Menno can give you an honest assessment, explain what he may be able to fix and discuss other options with you.

A note about Bosch & Shimano

Menno does not open, repair or repack Bosch or Shimano battery packs. If you have one of these batteries, please contact the manufacturer’s authorised dealer for support and replacement options.

For other brands, you’re welcome to drop by with the battery. A photo of the label can help start the conversation, but an assessment needs the battery itself.

Battery services

Care that starts
with the individual pack.

01

Assessment & diagnostics

Seeing the battery, taking measurements and listening to what you’ve noticed. From a wiring fault to a deeper issue, Menno investigates the cause and talks you through the options. Not every pack can be repaired.

02

Repair & BMS work

Assessing faults and, where suitable, repairing or replacing the battery management system—the electronics that monitor and protect the pack.

03

Repacking / cell replacement

Replacing worn internal cells while retaining a suitable existing case. Compatibility and the condition of the complete pack determine whether this is an option.

04

Custom battery projects

Discuss a particular battery requirement with Menno. Suitability, the intended use and the practical limits need to be considered before a project is agreed.

A personal approach

Bring your battery.
Let’s have a look.

A photo is a useful first step, but it can’t tell the whole story. Menno prefers to see the product and measure the battery.

  1. Drop by with your battery, or send a photo and a brief description to start the conversation.
  2. Tell Menno what you’ve noticed. He’ll discuss the assessment and any charge with you before proceeding.
  3. Once he has examined and measured the battery, you can talk through a repair or explore other avenues together.

We do not offer delivery. If you’d like to check when to visit, get in touch.
